Time to go wedding dress shopping?
Here are a few tips to make the best of out your dress excursions!
Save the Date!
Many dress salons require appointments to be made at least a month in advance. A great time to begin shopping for your dress is after you book your venue. Your venue will help determine the formality of your dress.
Dress for Success!
Bring, or wear undergarments, that are similar to the items you will wbe wearing on your wedding day (strapless bra and appropriate undies). Also, be sure to bring the correct shoes! Unless you plan on wearing flip-flops while walking down the aisle, do not wear them while trying on dresses. Wear or bring the appropriate height heels to your appointment.
Careful with the Invites!
Okay we get it. Most brides want to invite the super important people in their life. Maybe a mom, favorite aunt, grandma, and not to mention the ENTIRE bridal party. Only after, realizing it was a huge mistake. We've all seen "Say Yes to the Dress!" And cringe at that awkward moment when have the attendees love the dress and the other half are gagging at the sight! LOL! Maybe try to just take one or two with you to dress shop the first time around. Give yourself a moment to find out what your fave wedding dress style is. Then after you've narrowed it down to two or three dresses, bring your bridal party with you as you "Say Yes to the Dress!"
Happy Shopping Ladies!
