South Florida Weddings ~ Photography in 2014

Well 2014 weddings are in FULL swing with the LLE Team! A few weeks ago, we had a client ask us what we thought were trends in wedding photography right now. Of course we added in our two cents about what we'd like to see. Then we thought, why not ask a few of our favorite photographer girlfriends! We wanted to know what they thought was "trending" in 2014!

Andy over at Studio Andy Photography wants brides to know that simplicity is a timeless trend in weddings! She says, "Let's be honest. These days, Social Media has opened many windows into endless possibilities of what your wedding day could look like. From a bride's dress to the groom's socks. From getting married at a church to having your ceremony underwater! The options and trends are overwhelming. Fast forward a few decades. When you look back and reminisce on your wedding day. Will you still think matching bridal party tattoos was a good idea??"

Let it Loose: Forget the intricate braid that crosses over into a fishtail to the side, underneath the pearl trimmed veil. Simply let your beautiful hair flow down with soft waves.

Black is Back: Why go crazy looking for that blue tinted magenta fading into Amethyst purple with gold sparkles when you can opt for the classic black bridesmaid dress?  It's elegant and chic. 
(Bonus: your bridesmaids will love you for this! *wink)

Be You: A photographer saying, "Can you lift your arm over your head in a 20 degree angle, keep your chin down and balance on one leg on the edge of the rock while holding your dress as the wind blows?!"   Ummm... how about just sit and be beautiful you! ~ Andy

Nighttime Owls:  
More and more couples are opting to sneak away during their reception for a few intimate nighttime images together. We’ve noticed an increase in requests for this from our 2014 couples. ~ Gloria

Under the Veil:  Veils add a soft, elegant touch to wedding images. Placing both the bride and groom under the veil together has becoming increasingly popular recently. It gives the appearance of wrapping the newlyweds in their own world and even makes a simple kiss more breathtaking in an image.

Unplugged:  Couples want their guests to enjoy their special day. Detaching guests from their electronic devices has become the theme this year. The idea of having an unplugged wedding simply means- leave your cameras, cell phones and iPad’s at home! Instead- relax and enjoy the day! This will also reduce the chance of cell phones, iPads and cameras ruining the professional photographer’s images.
