Spring Bliss in Boca Raton

Last November when Caitlin and Chris reached out to us to help tie together the details of their romantic Boca Raton wedding, we were thrilled!  With classic touches of ivory, bridal blush and gold, the wedding was a picture of elegance and grace. Photographer Lara Rios captured the heart of the day as well as the fun loving nature of the couple and their families. 

The wedding began with guests taking a trolley ride to St. Joan Catholic Church.

Yes! You are seeing correctly! Caitlin wore a dress of the palest of pink. SWOON!

The Bridesmaids wowed in a beautiful spring tone as well.

The breathtaking Boca Raton Resort & Club. 

The couple danced the night away under the beams of the Cathedral Room.

The affair was traditional romance through and through.

We love working with DJ's. They are some of the coolest people you could ever meet. 

And to be perfectly honest, in most cases a horrible DJ can make for a horrible wedding. :-(

We can tell you horror stories of loud, obnoxious DJ/MC's at weddings. Trust us! It's FAR from cool. 

 The first step is to realize what you are looking for out of a DJ and find someone who is compatible with what you want. Are you looking for someone energetic and hype that's hype and ready to get the party going? Or do you want someone more subdued and low-key? 

With any vendor, you should come prepared with a list of questions to ask them before you sign an agreement. Here are our top 5 Questions to ask the DJ and help determine if they are a good match for your wedding:

What is included??

Yep! DJs, like all vendors, use different methods when pricing their services. Some DJs price their services a la carte, charging an hourly rate and adding charges for any additional equipment when needed. Others choose to use a flat-rate pricing system and make their packages all-inclusive. You need to be clear about what a DJ is offering for the price they’ve quoted you, so you can compare their package to those of the other DJs you are researching.

Will you be the DJ at my wedding?

Reality Check!!! The person you speak with, is not always the person who will be the DJ on your wedding day. This is not an uncommon practice among large DJ agencies. You must try to interview the specific DJ that you will be working with. Decide whether you feel comfortable and if this is the right person for your wedding.

Will you emcee and make all of the wedding announcements?

Most professional DJs are comfortable with making announcements and serving as the emcee for the wedding. Some DJs, however, are not comfortable with this and if they aren't comfortable this needs to be addressed early on in the booking process!

How would you define your emcee "style"?

This is an extremely important question to ask! It will tell you whether or not the DJ is the right match for your guests and the atmosphere you’re trying to create for your guests. If you are planning understated dinner party, then hiring an “entertainer DJ” may not be what you are looking for. You know your family and friends better than anyone.  Take your guests into consideration and plan accordingly when hiring your DJ!

What will you do if nobody is dancing?

Different DJs handle this situation differently. Some will use the microphone to try to “energize” your guests and motivate them to dance. Others prefer to use song selection to get bodies on the dance floor! You need to determine how you would like the situation handled in advance.

#RetroBookworm Wedding!

Alex and Mike were married back in March at the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton. We had to share a few gorgeous pictures from their beautiful wedding taken by Ville Focus Photography. Our Retro Bookworm, as TLC's Four Weddings called her, incorporated so many personal touches and DIY projects to the wedding. Check out her beautiful paper bridal bouquet! Stunning!

OUR DIY EXTRAORDINAIRE!

And Oh do we LOVE her! SO excited to share the wedding of Alexandria and Mike! Their story (Featured here on The Knot) is one that will definitely either bring tears to your eyes or send chills down your spine!  And now,  here they are getting ready to embark on a new chapter in their lives.  They did it this past weekend at the gorgeous Spanish River Library in Boca Raton.  Their evening water-side ceremony was amazing!

Alex is a creative insane person! She can do amazing things with paper! She made ALL her flowers with paper! WHOA! Her amazingness is so amazing, it will be showcased and filmed for TLC's Four Weddings!  We are so happy to have been a part of their big day!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Pereira!

Carlos and Jessica were joined together as one on Saturday, October 20th in Boca Raton at The Addison.  When we first met Jessica and Carlos, we loved them immediately! So sweet. So kind. And so caring to one another.  Jessica was a little concerned about how everything was going to come together for her wedding day. Carlos, being the super supportive guy that he is, agreed to have a wedding planner and the rest is history! Please enjoy these gorgeous photos by 3 Little Words Photography.

Seee?! It gets more and more gorgeous with each picture! Jessica and Carlos then jetted off to an awesome honeymoon in Italy!  They will ALWAYS have a special place in our hearts! XOXO!

Wedding at The Woodfield

We first met Clodi and Gregory back in January.  They were planning their Summer wedding and wanted a Day of Coordinator to execute their plans.  Their wedding ceremony took place on the beautiful greens of  the Woodfield Golf Course. The scene was picturesque for all who experienced it.  The sky was at it's best.

Guests were greeted by hostesses and delicious glasses of raspberry, lemon and mint refreshments on this warm South Florida day! The Bride looked stunning and all eyes were on her as she floated down the aisle. The groom's smile could not have been any wider.

After the ceremony, guests were led upstairs to a fabulous, spacious, lounge area that was beautifully decorated for cocktails. The reception was held was in an intimate, supper-club style room called The Terrace.  The space boasted of gorgeous dark wood and an array of golds and browns. Which were accented by the gorgeous purple, accents of silver, and the glow of candlelight. Simply gorgeous!

Mr. & Mrs. Campbell

We LOVE planning with our clients.  We LOVE seeing them exchange vows! WE LOVE seeing them celebrate their marriage with their family and friends.  But we don't love when its ALL over! It's bittersweet. We know it's cheesy, but we miss them! :-(

Anna and Carey are NO exception! Their wedding at The Spanish River Library, in Boca Raton, was breathtaking. A little background, on that crazy last week of May leading up to their wedding, was that it rained EVERY single day that week! It's our job to stress, and boy did we ever! Even up until the day before, we were working with the venue, vendors and the couple on a backup Rain Plan to the original Rain Plan! But nope! Anna would not believe it! She knew the day would be perfect and it was!

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, for allowing us to be a part of your big day! Special thanks to the vendors that helped to make this wedding amazing!
