Drenched in Love! South Florida Engagement

This picture says it ALL!
BALLOOON FIGHTTTTTT!
If this E-shoot, taken at Wolf Lake Park, doesn't make you smile then we don't know what will!

When Vicky first contacted us to assist with the planning of her February 2015 wedding, we knew we had just talked to a really fun girl! Duh! Can you tell by these pictures?

Vicky and Josh are the best kind of couple. They are friendly and fun-loving, not afraid to show their personalities.  You should be able to laugh together as a couple. And laughing a lot, that's exactly what they do.  This e-shoot was literally dripping with laughs.

This gorgeous bride-to-be said her favorite part of this engagement shoot was  "The water balloon fight, of course, but I mostly just enjoyed the shoot because we were both just being ourselves.
I was worried that we weren't going to look or feel natural.
Josh made it so relaxed and fun for me by whispering funny things in my ear.
I was pleasantly surprised at the way he handled it and how he took my stress away!"

AWWWWW!!! Need we say more??

Congratulations Vicky and Josh!

Rate Your Wedding!

Okay, so we were thinking, we might turn Thursdays into "Tell It Like It Is Thursday!" Lol! What do you think? Well, we pride ourselves on always being 100% honest with our clients. There will be no fake shenanigans with LLE. So here it goes....

Yes, it's your wedding. We know. Your family and friends know. At this point hundreds of people may know. Everyone is ecstatic for you and can't wait to celebrate with you! But that doesn't mean that you forget to take care of those who care about you. Your guests. I mean... are we right? If you don't care about their thoughts and feelings, then why are they invited?? Why throw a wedding? Why are we here?? LOL!

Now seriously, think about this: Have you ever been to a wedding? Do you know how much it costs just to be a guest at a wedding? Travel costs, attire and beauty, gift... Whoa! That can be a lot. The sheer aggravation of jumping on a plane or driving to a wedding in evening traffic!  So when you rant about it being your day, think about this... it's their day too!

The point here is you simply cannot forget about your friends and family and their "Guest Experience."

1~ Welcome Them
A Thank you note, a welcome bag, a small bunch of flowers, box of chocolates. Whatever you want!

2~ Have Fun. Be Unique, Plan Surprises
Photo walls, live sax player, caricature artists, fortune tellers, crazy hour. Don't be so serious! Be memorable!

3~ Let There Be Delicious Food and Drinks
Enough said...

4~ Get Them Involved
Have them take polaroid selfies, have a love advice booth, dj request bowl,
#BESTWEDDINGEVER, #KNOCKTHEIRSOCKSOFF, #OOOHKILLEM

5~ Fun Favors
Seriously, how many people want a champagne glass etched with someone else's name and wedding date? Epic waste of money! Deliciously iced cookies or cupcakes... Now you're talking!

Now Rate Your Wedding. Put yourself in your guests' shoes. What would you give yourself? Hmmm...

The Who, What, Why's of Wedding Rehearsals!

WHO~ Whoever you want! LOL! Active participants in the wedding: Parents of both the bride and groom should attend, as well as the wedding party, the minister performing the ceremony. You should also include any ushers, greeters, or persons that may reading or singing during ceremony.

WHAT~ Wedding Rehearsal for what? We get it. You aren't putting on a Broadway Show or even a High School Musical, so why rehearse? Well the truth is hosting a wedding is very similar to putting on a production! It's important for wedding party members to know what is expected of them and what their roles are during the wedding.  It just helps everything run a little more smoothly on the day of.

WHEN~ Rehearsals could take place at some point during the week of the wedding, usually a day or two before. Many variables determine when a rehearsal will take place. Is the venue available? Is the officiant available?  When will most of the wedding party be in town? What time do most people leave work? All these parts go into play.

WHERE~ A wedding rehearsal is usually held at the venue where you'll host the ceremony. This is not always possible! Sometimes the venue is not available or another function is taking place the day you want to host your rehearsal. No worries! Other spaces, such as a public park, can be utilized. The officiant and coordinator will lead you through the steps and what will be expected so that all members are well versed in what they will be doing when the big day arrives.

WHY~ Going over the ceremony and reviewing what is expected of each of the ceremony participants is important. A wedding rehearsal dinner is not necessary, but it is a welcome event and conclusion from all the planning and work everyone has put into the wedding. It's a wonderful way to celebrate the fact that all plans have been finalized and everyone can take a deep breath and relax until the big day.

We love these Wedding Rehearsal Invites from Vintage Bells & Co.
All customizable and downloadable! $15.00 for the proof!

Read All About It! B~maid News!

We found an article on Martha Stewart Weddings and had to share! It backs our statement of "Communication is Key!"  You cannot have a properly planned and executed wedding without communicating with all people involved in your wedding day.  Couples go wrong by expecting people (i.e. wedding party members, vendors and even guests) to know what's going on even though they haven't shared the information.

Let's talk about the Bridal Party.  You should be in touch with your Bridesmaids early on.  Keep in touch with them and inform them of your expectations from the very beginning.  It is not fair to spring last minute details and financial expences on your bridesmaids.  That is one of the number one complaints of the Bridal Party!

To keep them in the know, the article suggests Brides send out a newsletter complete with all the details they will need to know.

In the B~maid News, (which can be done 100% via an email) you could list the names, emails, addresses and phone numbers of all the bridesmaids. (Helps them immensely when they are planning the shower). Include a photograph of the bridesmaid dress and  a swatch of the fabric. You could also add any information about fittings and a photo of the bridesmaid shoes. If you plan on letting them select their own shoes, tell them in the newsletter! The best part about this is that you could add whatever you wanted!

Lastly, add a few words about how much you love them and of course thank them for being a part of your special day. We LOVE this idea so much, we have added it to our LLE  a'la carte list!  Contact us for your personalized "B~maid News!"

In Loving Memory...

Weddings are special occasions! Filled with family, friends, love and celebrations!  However, often times there are important family members missing that may have passed away or are unable to attend the wedding.  It is becoming more and more popular with couples, to honor these beloved family members on their big day.  More than ever before, we have couples using "In Loving Memory" accessories.  Here are a few of our fave, reasonably priced, accessories that can be found at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. They are all priced under $35.00 and can all be personalized for that extra special touch. How will you remember those lost or missing at your wedding?
