Brenda and Thomas Married in Coral Gables!

Brenda and Tom's glammed out Hotel Colonnade wedding is featured on the blog today!
Here's a sneak peek of some of the details captured by Dolce Photography

Brenda was a beautiful bride, inside and out! We'll never forget her sweet words,
"I have to start by saying that Chanda is an amazing professional and one of kind when it comes to handling all that comes with pulling a wedding together the day. The day of my wedding came with an unbelievable amount of stress and drama but she was able to handle it before anything even made it to me. She kept me abreast the entire time and made sure we were on time for each event. She was also very detailed in regards to where every item should be and who should be responsible for each item. She is amazingly organized and doesn't miss a beat. When the stress of wedding planning starts to kick in she's there to pull you back and give you a quick realty check if needed. Her years of experience shows and she has a solution for every potential problem and can assure that your big day will go smoothly."

Best Wishes to the newlyweds!

Why You May Need A Bridal Bestie

Captured by Heather Funk Photography

Our Bridal Bestie program is amazing! Reasons why you may need one....

~WE ARE SIMPLY TOO BUSY
As wedding planners, we were not hired to fetch coffee for the bridal party or to find Aunt Jackie for the family photo or to stop by Macy's to pick up the mother of the bride's favorite lipgloss.

*We do however oversee and direct an entire wedding day from start to finish. We are greeting vendors (or as I try to refer to them: wedding professionals) as they arrive onsite. We are sole the point of contact for all wedding professionals for the entire day. And that’s just the first few hours of the day! While the couple is busy getting ready and spending time with friends and family, this is what we are doing. We are diligently executing the days events, no matter how small or large. NO mater how planned or unplanned (EEEK!)  Let's not even begin to talk about perfectly executing the (what we like to call) hustle and flow of the ceremony and reception.*

~THIS IS WHAT THE MAID OF HONOR AND BRIDESMAIDS ARE FOR
and if you don't have a reliable one then you definitely need a Bridal Bestie!

*We think that sometimes bridesmaids forget that their role is to support and assist the bride. That includes pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding. They should have the bride's back. They should be her crew. Some might even say, her posse! Most likely, they have been in her life for a good amount of time. At least one of them knows Aunt Jackie and can grab her for that family photo op. They are the ones who are supposed to be helpers to the bride or who grab her a coffee or even a glass of wine if she’s wants it. They’re job is to attend to and support the bride. Period.*

Lesson of the Day: We know firsthand that great wedding planners go above and beyond to make their clients happy.  (You don't become multiple award winning planners without this knowledge. LOL!) BUT, we also know that in order to execute a truly amazing wedding that meets your needs and lives up to your expectations, you have to remember that unless it's directly related to the actual logistics of wedding planning and wedding coordination, it is not the responsibility of the wedding planner.  Ask us about our Bridal Bestie program. You won't regret it. :-)

Wedding Vendor PSA!

VENDOR PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Happy Monday All!

We wanted to take a moment to address wedding vendors. There are some absolutely fantab-ulous wedding vendors out there! Just like most wedding planners out there, we have our faves.  Those are the ones that we know we can count on. They are trustworthy, dependable, caring, and have our client's best interests in mind.

We have two very important points to touch on today, because we experienced them this past weekend.  And since this is our blog, we will once again share our two cents with the world! LOL!

**Vendors that always act like they know everything about everything really bother us. We've heard the same old story over and over. "I do weddings all the time." "We do this 6-8 times a month." "They'll do it my way because that's how I always do it." BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!  It takes every bit of us not to scream EW! GET AWAY! as loud as we can and pivot and run away! Vendors! Don't you get it?! We don't care! Every client is different and should be treated as such.**

**Vendors, We DO NOT work for you! We are not on your payroll. We are not under your insurance, and we are not your children.  Let's back up a moment for those of you that may not know what we are speaking about.  Wedding Planners/Coordinators are hired by the Bride & Groom to do a job that they agreed upon with the Bride & Groom.  We don't sign contracts with vendors and we certainly do not take orders from vendors.**

Now, don't get us wrong. We are BIG team players and realize that wedding's cannot be properly executed with out that team all playing together as one. But vendors must realize that we are all equals, working for a common goal. Planners are not here to be yelled at, bossed around, and called names. For those of you out there that we enjoy working with from weekend to weekend please know we LOVE you and will continue to do so. For the vendor we are referring to in this post (and you know who you are) :-) You now know, we play hard...

Miami Beach Wedding ~ Mandie and Marcus

We are super excited to share the wedding ceremony of Mandie and Marcus! Mandie and Marcus, AKA Team Anderson, were married on July 4th at the beautiful James Royal Palm Hotel on Miami Beach.  When Mandie first contacted us to help plan her Destination Wedding, we totally understood why she needed our help. Mandie is a professional boxer and while juggling wedding plans, she was preparing for fights. She even had a fight (which she won of course!) right before the wedding!

Needless to say, this ceremony really got the fireworks!

Garden Wedding at The Thalatta Estate

When we first met Merlyne, she needed our help planning her wedding. The catch, we had less than six months to plan the wedding. No venue, no vendors, no nothing! LOL! And to top it off, Merlyne would be moving to another state right after the wedding and have to pack and plan a move at the same time!  But guess what? We pulled it off and it was perfect! See for yourself! ~ Captured by Nate Veal

We wish you both all the best and more!
