Better Together!



Interesting.... Received an email from a prospective client this morning.  She was curious why she should hire us instead of using a family member (her mom, sister, or cousin) to handle things on her wedding day.  She had already planned most of the details for the wedding, she just wasn't sure if she should have a professional go-to person on that day.  Questions~ Why wouldn't you want your family member to enjoy the day?  Do you really want that person (hours before the wedding) running around like a crazy person, rushing off to hair and make-up, getting dressed, crying at the ceremony, having a few drinks at the cocktail hour, then tending to any problems that may arise during the reception? Really do you?  Our advice: At least hire a coordinator to assist on the day of! Trust us! You will not regret it!

Secondly... Our thoughts on the "coordinator" at the venue. Do you really think that the venue "coordinator" really has your best interest at heart? Please note that usually the venue "coordinator" is the Sales Manager/Food & Beverage Manager at these places.  They work FOR the venue. They don't know you and really don't care about your details. They do hundreds of events. Realistically, most of them leave the event before you even cut your cake! Don't even think the venue "coordinator" will stick to your wedding timeline or keep you from partying into the wee hours of overtime fees. :-)

Couples!! You are investing a lot of love, time, and money into your special day! Be smart! Have someone there who represents YOU! And that has your best interest in mind at ALL times! xoxo
