We adore our couples, and have not experienced a Bride or a Groom that turned into a "Zilla." And we hope to keep it that way! But we do feel the need to speak out on the over-publicized stigma of how to treat the amazing people that make perfectly planned weddings happen!
Hmmmmm... How do we say this? Don't be Rude.
You ever hear the saying, "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar?" Well that proves to be true when dealing with wedding professionals. And yes, we say wedding professionals. Trained, educated, adult, professionals that happen to be highly skilled in their particular art for weddings.
Couples should remember that showing a smile, staying sweet, having manners, and asking nicely will go a LONG way! You will be amazed at how people jump through hoops to make things happen! Simple words like: hi, please, and thank you, go a very long way.
A wedding professional that is passionate about their work, and their clients, will treat clients with respect and in return, couples should do the same. The truth of the matter is, wedding planning will bring some degree of stress. Simply because different types of things, stress out different types of people.
Wouldn't you want to have vendors by your side that have a mutual respect for you. Professionals that you know are in your corner and that genuinely like working with you? And we say WITH you because that's exactly what we do. Work with you to create and execute a stress-free day!
Put yourself in the vendor's shoes. Wouldn't you be willing to go the extra mile with clients that were polite and thoughtful? Please keep this in mind when you are interviewing, hiring, speaking to and even emailing wedding professionals. And be rest assured, those wedding professionals will be just as invested in your wedding day as you are! ;-)
